Domaine Renaud & Fils, located in the prestigious Pouilly-Fumé region, is a family-run estate shaped by history and expertise. Founded by Amédée Renaud, the estate grew under Jean Renaud, who cultivated around 1.5 hectares of vines while also working as a wine broker. By connecting producers with merchants across the Pouilly-sur-Loire and Sancerre areas, he helped strengthen the reputation of the family estate.
Philippe Renaud, Jean’s son, later took over the family domaine and devoted himself fully to viticulture. With the arrival of his own sons, Nicolas and Clément, the estate expanded significantly to reach its current 20 hectares. Today, Philippe, Nicolas and Clément manage all vineyard and cellar work, while Isabelle, Philippe’s wife, oversees administration and welcomes visitors.
Much of the vineyard is planted on the iconic Saint-Andelain hill, where flint-clay soils impart remarkable tension and minerality to the wines. The estate produces two main cuvées: Pouilly-Fumé — a blend of Sauvignon Blanc from various parcels — and the Cuvée Silex, crafted from old vines rooted in flint-silica soils, offering a pure and distinctive expression of the terroir.
